XOXO scarf
XOXO scarf
The XOXO scarf is knitted flat with three different colors. First you knit a ribbed edge using the Italian cast-on, then you knit the XOXO pattern, at the end you finish off with ribbing and Italian cast-off. The pattern is created by yarn overs and slipped stitches. The technique looks complicated but is fairly easy if you are used to knitting cables or lace. This pattern is also perfect to use as a scrap yarn project.
The chart for the XOXO pattern is a 12 row repeat and the color chart is a 36 row repeat. With the pattern you will get a colored chart to help you understand the color change as well as an uncolored chart for you to use when choosing colors.
The pattern is written with the expectation that the knitter knows how to follow a chart.
